MOVING TEXAS FORWARD

Join early learning communities from across Texas at the 2024 Momentum Early Learning Summit, an invitation-only, two-day convening of cross-sector leaders to spark innovations, align interests, and set a statewide vision for building a strong, coordinated early learning system.

As Texans, we sit at both a “moment in need” and a “moment of opportunity” to move beyond the status quo in our early learning system. We know that parents everywhere across our state are struggling to find quality early learning programs that meet their unique family needs, meanwhile, child care programs are struggling to keep their doors open and pay early educators what they deserve.

The 2024 Momentum Early Learning Summit is an opportunity for Texans to reimagine our state’s approach to two cornerstone issues fundamental to a strong Texas early learning system:

  • Supporting a strong early educator workforce.
  • Designing an equitable mixed-delivery prekindergarten system that functions across all early learning settings.
"2.3 million children under the age of five live in Texas, yet Texas' ECE system is ranked 47th out of 50 states for lacking a coordinated and efficient early learning system."
